UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones' arch-rival and top contender Rashad Evans will be taking on Phil Davis in the main event of UFC on Fox 2 on January 28th, 2012. Evans has been matched up against his former training partner Jones on more than one occasion, but has seen the bouts dematerialize as a result of injury, his or otherwise.
Though their fights continue to fall through, Jones and Evans keep their feud alive by taking shots at each other when they get the opportunity, as Jones did during an appearance on MMAFighting's The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani when asked his opinion on the Evans-Davis match up.
"It's an interesting fight," Jones said of the fight. "I'll go with Rashad because of the experience factor. But Phil Davis can win more than he realizes, he has to be comfortable striking. I won't say too much because I have my own ideas on how to beat Rashad, but, I don't think Rashad has a chin at all. Trust me Rashad does not have chin. But it will be a closer fight than people will realize."
UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis takes place on January 28, 2012 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
